Information Sharing between Arduino Boards using

Inter Integrated Circuits also refered as IIC is normaly known as I2C. It is basically a synchronous communication protocol. By this we mean that the devices involved in information sharing must share a common clock signal. It uses only two wires for communication, once of thesw wires is used for clock signal. While the other is used for sending and receiving data. The I2C communication strategy between devices involves Master and Slave mechanism. It means one device will be acting as Master and this Master device will be communicating to one or multiple slave devices.

I2C Communication Working

Only master device has the ability to initiate the communication. Master device also has to keep track of address of each connected device. This type of communication works only for short distances and could be relied upon.
